COTTONPORT, La. — Graveside services for Kurt Patrick “Pat” Guillot, 52, of Vidalia and a native of Cottonport, La., will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Cemetery No. 2, in Cottonport, with the Rev. Jacob Thomas officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Guillot was born Sept. 8, 1960. He was a truck driver for the past 12 years. He loved fishing and drinking coffee with his buddies at the Mobil Station, they will miss him.
Pat and Paula loved gardening and working together in their yard and the flower beds.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Christopher Myles Hill; maternal grandparents, Lurry L. and Cecile Tassin; paternal grandparents, Cyriaque and Amelia Guillot; one uncle, Donald Tassin; and one aunt, Barbara Tassin.
Survivors include his wife, Paula Sanders Guillot; one daughter, Krystle Marie Russell of Knoxville, Tenn.; four stepchildren, Sean and Ben O’Gwin of Natchez and Kelly and Chris Hill of Monroe, La.; his parents, Bennie and Betty Gorum of Natchez; his father, Gary Guillot Sr. of Greenwell Springs, La.; three sisters, Pamela Graves and husband, Albert, of Centreville, Tonya Hutchinson Denham Springs, La., and Shelly Cothell of Baton Rouge; one brother, Gary Guillot and wife, Angel, of Vidalia; four grandchildren, Declan Hill, Josiah, Sophie and Jonah Howell; 10 nieces and nephews, Laura Graves, Erin Graves Schell, Nigel Guillot, Devin Guillot Dunaway, Hillary Guillot Deville, Myles Johnson, Grant Johnson, Brendon, Breanna and Brett Cothell; and a number of uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Mike Ducote, Darrell Tassin, Sean O’Gwin, Albert Graves, Gary Guillot Jr. and Robert Ducote.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ben O’Gwin and Pat’s fishing and coffee drinking buddies.
