NATCHEZ – Services for Gladys Ford McNealy, 79, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at Charlton Methodist Hospital, in Dallas, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Greater St. Mark Baptist Church with Pastor Maurice Irving officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery, in Pine Mount, under the direction of Golden Gates Funeral Home in Dallas.
Visitation will be at 7 p.m. today at Greater St. Mark Baptist Church.
Mrs. McNealy was born May 23, 1929, in Natchez, the daughter of Leon and Sarah Ford. She was a retired teacher from AJFC Head Start.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two daughters; and seven siblings.
Survivors include two daughters, Mildred Holyfield of Chicago and Mary Smith and husband, Leon, both of Dallas; three sons, Newton McNealy Jr. of Gonzalas, La., Carl Lee McNealy and wife, Mary Ann, both of Natchez, and James McNealy and wife, Yolanda, both of Dallas; three sisters, Fannie Davis of Chicago, Marguerite Brown of Natchez and Annie Mable Barnes and husband, Gene, both of Morena Valley, Calif.; three brothers, Henry Ford of Natchez, Willie Ford of Chicago and Charles Ford of Inglewood, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four brothers-in–law; five sisters-in-law; and a number nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
