NATCHEZ — Services for Jeff Jones, 71, of Natchez, who died Friday, April 26, 2013, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Sinai Baptist Church with the Rev. James Brooks officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Jones was born Jan. 3, 1942, in Sibley, the son of Nelson Jones and Irene Granger Jones. He was a member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church.

Mr. Jones was retired from Odom’s Eye Optical and worked for Adams County as a laborer.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include three children, Eunice Nelson and husband, Gary, of Natchez, Jeff Jones Jr. and Ricky Jones, both of Greenville, S.C.; one stepdaughter, Debra Ann Jones of Greenville, S.C.; one sister, Laura Barnes of Natchez; one brother, Willie James Jones of Hamilton, Ind.; four grandchildren, Lanisia Robinson and Gary Nelson Jr., both of Natchez, Tanjina Jones and Dyneshia Jones, both of Greenville; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
