FAYETTE — Services for David Cosey, 72, of Lorman, who died Thursday, April 25, 2013, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will be at noon Wednesday at Mount Israel Baptist Church in Fayette.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
Mr. Cosey was born March 22, 1941, in Jefferson County, the son of Alex and Minerva Brown Cosey. He was a member of Mount Israel Baptist Church and served on the deacon board.
Mr. Cosey was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Cristopher Counsel; and two brothers, O’Neal “Jack” Cosey and Oscar Cosey.
Survivors include two daughters, Shonda Latrice Wright and Shirquelle Valtease Wright, both of Harriston; three sisters, Anita C. January, Zella M. Durby, both of Fayette, and Frances C. Ballard and husband, Robert “Tom,” of Lorman; one brother, Alex “Pete” Cosey and wife, Bessie, of Port Gibson; five grandchildren, (two special grandchildren) Tristan “KuKe” and Channing “Scooter;” four special children, Sherry Jackson, Michael Wright, Tracy Wright and Darron Wright and wife, Stephanie; three special nieces, DonZella, Greta and Willie Mae and husband, Joe; three special nephews, Keith Sr., Joe and Lee “Beaver,” one special son, Kendall “Little K;” and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
