HAYNESVILLE, La. – Services for Floyd Lee Cage Jr., 63, of Haynesville, La., who died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, in Haynesville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church, 8179 U.S. Highway 79, Haynesville, LA, with the Rev. Benny Kingsby officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Minden Highway, Homer, LA.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Cage was born Feb. 11, 1945, in Woodville, the son of Floyd Sr. and Mary Webb Cage. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was employed as longshoreman, construction worker and forklift/stacker operator.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and six siblings, James, Charles and Auguster Cage, Allen Henyard, Willie Morris and Janice Washington.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa Kingsby Cage; five children, Derek Cage, Montreal Cage Sr. and wife, Trudy, Santita Blunt and husband, Michael, Terrence Williams and wife, Shawanda, and Niquitta Williams; two brothers, Harry Cage and wife, Barbara, and Louis Cage and wife, Inez; one sister, Lily Lushaw and husband, James; three stepchildren, Stephanie Mendenhall and husband, John, Claudell Kingsby and wife, Sheryl, and Leonardo Kingsby and wife, Mershell; 11 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
