PORT GIBSON — Services for Leah Elizabeth “Libba” Torrey, 64, of Port Gibson, who died Monday, April 22, 2013, at St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. today at the First Presbyterian Church of Port Gibson with the Rev. Michael Herrin, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow at Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mrs. Torrey was a lifelong resident of Port Gibson. She attended Mississippi State College for Women and was a graduate of Mississippi State University. She was the office manager for All Creatures Veterinary Clinic in Port Gibson for more than 30 years.

Mrs. Torrey was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church of Port Gibson where she sang in the choir.

She was preceded in death by her father, Nick Gage; one brother, Dick Gage; and her first husband, Skeeter Hynum.

Survivors include her husband, John L. Torrey; one daughter, Payne Cobb and husband, Chad, of Cortez, Colo.; two sons, Lee Hynum and wife, Cindy, of Cortez and Nick Hynum of Clinton; her mother, Betty Gage of Port Gibson; and one brother, Hal Gage and wife, Betsy, of Vicksburg.

Pallbearers will be Walter Cade Jr., Nick Gage, Robert Gage, Jimmy Hynum, Dr. Eddie Lipscomb, Kenny Strawn, John Torrey and Don Wilson.

Honorary pallbearers will be the elders and deacons of First Presbyterian Church.
