Cardell Hamilton

NATCHEZ – Services for Cardell Douglas Hamilton, 49, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, at his home, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church, in Washington, with the Rev. Klaus Tate officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Hamilton was born Jan. 21, 1959, in Natchez, the son of Charlie Sr. and Josephine Hamilton. He attended South Natchez High School and Alcorn School of Nursing. He was employed by Nissan of North America.
Mr. Hamilton was a Baptist and was a member of Greater Mount Calvary Baptist Church choir. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and Elvis impersonations.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lily Hamilton Brown; one brother, Otis Hamilton; and one nephew, Damien Murray.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Kay Hamilton; three sons, Nicholas Hamilton, Cardell Walls of Tacoma, Wash., and Marcus Shaw; two brothers, Charlie Hamilton Jr. and wife, Shirley, and A.C. Hamilton and wife, Genevieve; five sisters, Sue Willie Washington and husband, Dan, Bernice Davis and husband, Charles, Elise Osborne and husband, Willie, Ruby Bright and husband, Willie, and Katie Murray and husband, Vincent; three grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
