NATCHEZ — Services for Lucinda Knight Sashfras, 84, of Natchez, who died Monday, April 22, 2013, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ernest Ford Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sashfras was born July 30, 1928, in Adams County, the daughter of Tom Knight and Elizabeth Granger Lyles. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Sashfras was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include one daughter, Flora McCoy; one son, Dave Sashfras and wife, Shirley; one brother, Jonahas Williams; one sister, Lucy Perry; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends, all of Natchez.
