NATCHEZ — Services for Joan R. McDaniel, 74, who died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at her residence will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Morgantown Baptist Church with Rev. Edgar Wright Officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. today at the church.

Mrs. McDaniel was born July 30, 1934, in St. Anthony, Idaho, and was the daughter of Vernon and Irma Lodge Roberts.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Vernon Roberts; two brothers-in-law, Claude McDaniel and Jackie Lee McDaniel.

Survivors include her husband, Edward L. McDaniel; one sister, Irma Roberts McFaddan and husband Dan of Hagerman Idaho; five children, Ronnie McDaniel of Natchez, Debra McDaniel Green and friend Brian Bracken of Houston, Texas, Karen McDaniel Bauman and friend Dave Timmerman of Rockford, Ill.; David R. McDaniel and friend Barbara Hughes of Natchez and Richard Dean McDaniel and wife Angie of Augusta Ga.; 10 grandchildren, Whitney Ketchum of Summit, Dana Green and Darnell Green Jr. of Houston, Texas, Dr. Renee Winner and Courtney Bauman of Rockford, Ill., David Ray McDaniel Jr. and wife Amber of Charlotte N.C., Leighton McDaniel of Natchez, Dana Ruth McDaniel of Monterey, Kyle Zimdahl and MacKenzie Paige McDaniel of Augusta, Ga., five great grandchildren of Houston, Texas; one aunt, Mrs. Helen Prater, two brothers-in-law, Jerry McDaniel and wife Norma of Natchez and Bill McDaniel and wife Peggy of Birmingham, Ala.; three sisters-in-law Margaret McDaniel Harveston and husband Lewis of Natchez and Sue McDaniel Cockerham and husband James of Vidalia and Jean McDaniel of Natchez.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.
