Francis Ory

NATCHEZ – Services for Francis A. Ory, 84, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at his residence, will be at 1:00 p.m. today at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Zabron A. Davis III officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the church.
Francis A. Ory was born on Dec. 7, 1923, in Mount Airy, La., the son of Joseph Ory and Odelia Marie Troxclair Ory. He was retired from Metal Decoration as a lithograph pressman and also retired after 10 years with St. Bernard Parish. Mr. Ory served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Genevieve R. Ory; and two brothers, Clifford H. Ory and Norris J. Ory.
Survivors include his wife, Miriam Menard Ory; two daughters, Cynthia O. Livingston of Slidell, La. and Deborah O. Sale of Orlando, Fla.; one son, James Joseph Ory of San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Olga O. Waguspack and husband, Buddy, both of La Place, La.
