Sue Ricci

NATCHEZ – Sue Lewis Ricci, 78, died peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at Natchez Community Hospital surrounded by her husband and children.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel, 408 North Union St., Natchez.
Suzie was born in 1930 in Des Moines, Iowa. She worked tirelessly as a volunteer for the American Red Cross swimming program for over 30 years, teaching young children to swim and enjoy the water. She was a regular at the Duncan Park tennis courts and an ardent football fan who never missed a Dallas Cowboys game.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Ellen Curtis Ricci, mother and father, Edwin and Edna Lewis; and one sister, Gloria Lewis Cranston.
Suzie is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Armando T. Ricci Jr., daughter Roxy Ricci of Baton Rouge, La., son Rick and wife Elizabeth Ricci of Savannah, Ga., son Ed and wife Robin Ricci, granddaughters Savannah and Lindsey, all of Dallas, Texas, fifth child Courtney Aldridge of Natchez, and her beloved little dog of 13 years, JoJo. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her and by those of the lives she touched.
