Rev. and Mrs. O.J. Seals of Columbia announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Seals, to William Mathis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Mathis of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Columbia High School and a graduate of Mississippi College in Clinton. She is employed by Region 8 Mental Health in Brandon.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Seals of Picayune and Mr. and Mrs. Durwin Spence of Carriere.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Adams County Christian School in Natchez and a graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Natchez.

He is employed by Rowan Companies in Houston, Texas.

He is the grandson of Jim Mathis of Texarkana, Ark., Bette Mathis of McAlester, Okla., Sue Ford and the late Marvin Ford of Woodville.

The wedding will be at 5 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Columbia.

A reception will follow at Columbia Country Club.
