David Strong of Natchez and Stacey Atkins of Vidalia announce the engagement of their daughter, Shelby Strong, to Lane Vestal, son of Sue Curry of Patterson, La.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Adams County Christian School in Natchez and a graduate of Alcorn State University in Lorman.

She is the granddaughter of Hyram and Sandra Copeland of Vidalia and Billy and Carolyn Strong of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Patterson High School and is employed by Baker-Hughes of Lafayette, La.

The wedding will be at 7 p.m., May 18, 2013, at Brandon Hall Plantation in Natchez.

A reception will follow.
