NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Jack McLemore, 78, of Natchez, who died at his residence Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Morgantown Baptist Church with Dr. Ed Wright and Bro. Chris Beshea officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to time of services Sunday at the church.

Mr. McLemore was born July 9, 1930 in Dixon, the son of Andrew Jack McLemore and Audrey Hinson McLemore. He was active at Morgantown Baptist Church and worked with A&P for 41 years as store manager and Nabisco for 10 years and served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Terry Lane McLemore and one daughter-in-law, Karen Mills McLemore.

Survivors include his wife, Addie McLemore; one son, Dale McLemore, of Natchez; one stepdaughter, Gail Netterville of Ferriday; one stepson, Billy Netterville and wife Shelia of Natchez; daughter-in-law Sharon McLemore Coleman of Natchez; four grandchildren, Kacy Givens and husband Wesley of Vidalia, Leah McLemore, of Mo., Sharrlee McLemore and Paige McLemore, both of Natchez; three step-grandchildren, Billy Ray Netterville and wife Amy of Natchez, Nicholas Halford of Meadville and Cory Netterville of Natchez; one great-grandchild, Riana Lanee McLemore; one brother, Herman McLemore of Walnut Grove; three sisters, Qujet Wilson of Natchez, Joyce Killens of Carthage and Helen Cooper and husband Joe of Carthage; and a special pet, Rambo.

Pallbearers will be Billy Ray Netterville, Cory Netterville, Nicholas Halford, Marc Wallace, Larry Chisholm, Robbie Scriviner, Michael Hillman and Stanley McLemore.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Martin, Herman Eldridge, Rayford Smith, Jim Williams, Wally Wallace, James Wiley Chisholm, Mike Berry, Steven Hillman, Jeff Hillman and Greg Hillman.

Memorials may be made to Morgantown Baptist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association in Jackson.
