NATCHEZ — Services for Edward Stephen Montgomery Gay, 19, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, in Natchez, will be at 9 a.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.
Burial and committal services will be at 2 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery, in Hammond, La., under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Edward was born March 17, 1989, in Houston, Texas, the son of Edward Stephen Gay and Linda Montgomery Gay.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother of Vidalia; one brother, William Carlisle Montgomery Gay; one sister, Audrea Nell Gay Hood and husband, Ryan; one nephew, Donavin Hood, all of Terry; grandfather, William Carlisle “Gray” Montgomery of Vidalia; seven aunts; three uncles; and a number of cousins.
Pallbearers will be William Montgomery, Toby Shows, Roy Bishop, Daniel Bishop, Max Byrd and Nathaniel Wheeler.
Honorary pallbearers will be Proteus Harris, Keith Harris, Andre Harris and Ryan Hood.
Memorials may be made to Natchez Children’s Home or a charity of choice.
