NATCHEZ — Services for Dora Green “Bootsie” Fitzgerald, 73, of Natchez, who died Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Sinai Baptist Church with the Rev. Lloyd Bailey officiating.
Burial will follow at Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was born Aug. 24, 1935, the daughter of Jimmy Green Sr. and Mary Lewis Green.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was preceded in death by her husband, Horace R. Fitzgerald; parents; one son, George Green; two nephews, Roderick Green and Charles P. Wesley; and one great niece, Natasha Green.
Survivors include two daughters, Mythagnes Fitzgerald of Natchez and Hattie Bryant and husband, Bobby, both of Houston, Texas; three sons, Joseph T. Green and wife, Mishie and Lonnell Fitzgerald and wife, Sonya, all of Houston and Louis Green and wife, Gemma, both of Katy, Texas; two stepdaughters, Dorothy Banks of Houston and Delores Williams of Natchez; one godson, Lance Green and wife, Billie Sue; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; six sisters, Geneva Wesley and husband, Lewis, both of Clinton, La., Hattie Wayne of Memphis, Tenn., Mahalia Williams, Queen Profit, Shirley Mack and husband, Charlie, and Eva Smith, all of Natchez; one brother, Jimmy Green and wife, Sarah, both of Natchez; two special friends, Mattie Hayes of Natchez and Helen Anderson of Houston; and a number of nieces, nephews, great and great-great- nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Fred Brown, Caleb Johnson Jr., Joseph Williams, Pythagorous Green, Roderick Fitzgerald and Donald Ray Jones.
