FERRIDAY — Services for Dixie Tiffee Crum, 84, of Ridgecrest, who died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, will be at 2 p.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Cruse and the Rev. Preston Holder officiating.
Burial will follow at the Tiffee family cemetery in Eva, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Crum was born July 15, 1924, in Monterey, the daughter of Arthur Asher Tiffee and Mary Tooley Tiffee. She was a retired school teacher and was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.L. “Dub” Crum; one daughter, Debra Crum; one granddaughter, Courtney Suzanne Crum; her parents; two sisters, Natalie Pecanty and Mary Wanda Schleet; and three brothers, Aubrey Layne Tiffee, Jack Nolan Tiffee and Marion Arthur Tiffee.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Payne of Brandon and Kim Brasher and husband, Paul, both of Madison; one son, Ronnie Crum and wife, Barb, both of Ferriday; six grandchildren, Patrick Payne and wife, Leslie, Tara Goddard and husband, John, Ryan Crum and wife, Brooke, Lindsey Crum, Chad Brasher and wife, Celeste, Ashley Stegall and husband, Billy; and nine great-grandchildren, Madelyn Payne, Megan Payne, Rhett Payne, Peyton Goddard, McKenna Goddard, Isabella Goddard, Lily Marie Crum, Ethan Brasher and Laura Keegan Stegall.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Payne, Chad Brasher, Ryan Crum, John Goddard, Billy Stegall and Richard Payne.
Honorary pallbearers will be Norman Ray Pecanty, Tommy Tiffee, Terry Tiffee, Johnny Brigman, Nolan Tiffee, Jay Tiffee, Rusty Crum, Jimmy Dinger and Bob Hale.
