FERRIDAY — Services for Ollie Mae Lee, 83, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rufus Baptist Church with the Rev. Dave Mays officiating.
Burial will follow at Pure Light Cemetery, in Foules, La., under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lee was born April 9, 1925, in Natchez, the daughter of Henry and Laura Martin McGee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Freddie Lee Jr.; and one son, Joseph Brown Sr.
Survivors include four sons, Gus McGee, Willie McGee and wife, Debra, Roosevelt Murray and Johnny Washington and wife, Hazel, all of Ferriday; four daughters, Laura Bowman and Lula Allen and husband, Charlie, all of Ferriday, Theresa Washington and husband, Luther, both of New Orleans and Mary Moore and husband, Johnny, both of Kansas City, Kan.; one sister, Jessie Taylor and husband, Al, both of Monticello; a special friend, Clara Lee of Ferriday; 39 grandchildren; 90 great-grandchildren; and a number of great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
