NATCHEZ – Services for Vonda Evette Maier, 44, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Springfield Baptist Church with the Rev. B.L. Calcote officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
Ms. Maier was born April 30, 1964, in Natchez, the daughter of Nathan Lee Guice and Jeanette Pickering Guice.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Survivors include her ex-husband, Chris Maier of Natchez; her father, Nathan Lee Guice and wife, Mary, both of Roxie; one son, Michael Stroud of Bude; two daughters, Kimberly Allred and husband, Carl Jr., both of Crosby, and Amy Wilson and husband, Michael, both of Natchez; five grandchildren, Nathan Stroud, April Stroud, Layla Allred, James Allred and Caleb Allred; three sisters, Sheri Simmons and husband, Keith, both of Natchez, Trudy Gamblin and husband, David, both of Highland, Texas and Linda Reeves and husband, Lloyd, both of Roxie; four brothers, Timothy Guice and wife, Brandy, both of Roxie, Kenneth Guice of LaPorte, Texas, Johnny Guice of Natchez and Robert Lofgren and wife, Vickie, both of Highland; and a number of nieces and nephews.
