MEADVILLE — Services for Viola Quirls Arnold, 83, of Meadville, who died Saturday, Jan 17, 2009, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, will be at noon Saturday at New Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Fleming officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
Mrs. Arnold was born July 4, 1925, the daughter of Clarence and Mary Jones Quirls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy Arnold Sr.; two sisters, Rosa Quirls Ginn and Clara Mae Quirls; two brothers, J.B. Leggett and John Leggett Jr.; and three sons, Billy Coleman, Jimmy Arnold Jr. and Charles Arnold.
Survivors include a devoted and loving daughter, Patsy Griffith and husband, Thomas, both of Bude; three daughters, Joyce Vaughn and husband, Fernell, and Geneva Arnold, all of Indianapolis, Ind., and Marilyn Arnold of Dallas; four sons, Joseph Gabe Arnold of Meadville, Glenn Arnold and Otis Thomas, both of Indianapolis, and Jimmy Dale Hall of Natchez; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
