Annie Mazique

NATCHEZ — Services for Annie P. Mazique, 94, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, at Promise Health and Rehab Facility in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m. today at Daughter of Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. D.W. Howard officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mazique was born May 23, 1914, in Adams County, the daughter of Donaldson Pratt and Millie Clay Pratt. She was a member of Daughter of Zion Baptist Church for 82 years and served as the president of the Mothers Board until her death.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Mazique Sr.; one son, Johnny Mazique; her parents; four brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Orelia Clark and husband, Archie, and Florida Sylvester and husband, Spencer; one son, Richard Mazique Jr., all of Natchez; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; five great-great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Sylvester, Anthony Clark, Henry Davis, Fidel Clark, James Stewman, Walter Lucas and Jermaine Sylvester.
Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Daughter of Zion Baptist Church.
