NATCHEZ — Services for Jean E. Bourdin, 80, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. today at Assumption Catholic Church with the Rev. David O’Connor and the Rev. Ron Ledford officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the church.
Mr. Bourdin was born May 8, 1928, in Pass Christian, the son of Adolph and Lelia Courtney Bourdin. He was a member ofAssumption Catholic Church, the Bell South Pioneers and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Christopher Bourdin; two brothers, Adolph Bourdin Jr. and Leonard Bourdin.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Anders Bourdin; three children, Andreé McCullar and husband, Billy, and Edward Bourdin and wife, Kay, all of Natchez, and Selton Bourdin and wife, Jodi, both of Clinton; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elayne Rutz, Rose Marie Harvey and husband, Ara, and Lelia Blizzard and husband, Henry; one brother, Robert Bourdin and wife, Bobbie; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Harley Mercer, Jean Bryant, David Ferrell, Robert Bourdin, Paul Bourdin and Sonny Bourdin.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
