Natchez— Services for Billy G. Beach, 72, of Natchez, who died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Street Chapel with the Rev. Durwood Perkins and the Rev. Tom Tapley officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Beach was born Sept. 17, 1936, in Adams County, the son of Bilbo A. and Estelle Hartford Beach.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two half-brothers, Sonny Reeves and Charles Reeves.

Mr. Beach was a retired assistant police chief of the Natchez Police Department.

Survivors include his wife, Linda A. Beach; one daughter, Brandi Beach; two grandsons, Peyton and Nicholas Beach; and one half-brother, Claude Reeves and wife, Julian, all of Natchez.

Pallbearers will be Lee Cain, Kenneth Hall, Jimmy Pruitt Jr., Keith Simmons, Robert Myers and Willie Cauthen.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ernest Barlow, Willie Bryant, Ed Easton, Jack Smith and Ricky Stevens.
