MONROE, La. — Memorial services for Daniel Dennett Jr., 77, of Monroe, La., who died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, at St. Francis Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Will Sheffield and the Rev. Larry Stafford officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, in Monroe.
Mr. Dennett was a retired biologist with the State of Louisiana. He was also a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Parker Dennett; one daughter, Ginna Dennett Holyoak and husband, John, both of Natchez; one son, James Allen Dennett and wife, Suellen, both of Texas; and three grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to a charity of choice.
