Pedestrian hit by vehicle on Main Street

NATCHEZ — An 89-year-old Texas tourist suffered a cracked collarbone, bruises and scrapes after being struck by a car while she crossed Main Street Wednesday morning.
Laverne Aycock of Sherman, Texas, was crossing the street at the intersection of Main and Pearl streets at approximately 11 a.m. when she was struck by a black Toyota Camry turning left onto Main from Pearl, knocking her to the ground, according to an eyewitness.
Natchez Police Detective Jerry Ford said Antoinette Foster, 41, of Natchez, was the driver of the Camry. He said the incident was determined to be an accident.
