FERRIDAY — A Ferriday man is behind bars facing multiple charges for possession of prescription drugs and crystal methamphetamine.
Ferriday Police Chief Richard Madison said Edward D. Ratcliff, 39, 417 Levens Addition, was charged Saturday with possession of hydromorphone, possession of carisoprodol, possession of lorazepam, possession of crystal meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance and illegal carrying of a weapon.
Madison said a police officer reportedly discovered Ratcliff sleeping in his car while the officer was conducting a security check behind Fred’s Pharmacy Saturday night.
Ratcliff was reportedly incoherent, Madison said, and the officer discovered the narcotics upon searching Ratcliff and his vehicle.
Ratcliff’s bond is set at $95,000.
