NATCHEZ — Services for Ada Lee Shipp, 80, of Natchez, who died Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, in Natchez, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at George F. West Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. D.W. Howard officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Shipp was born June 9, 1928, in Church Hill, the daughter of Julius and Narcissia Johnson. She was a homemaker and a loving mother.
She was a member of New Rising Star Baptist Church, in Detroit, where she served on the usher board.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Colleen William Shipp; one son, Earl Ford; and her parents.
Survivors include two sons, Henry Ford, of Natchez, and Prempeh Kubi, aka Kevin, and wife, Debra A. Kubi, both of Detroit; and one sister, Narcissia Roddy of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
