FERRIDAY — Services for Jesse Lee Schiele, 66, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, March 1, 2009, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, La., will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church, in Ferriday, with the Rev. Freddie Schiele officiating.
Burial will follow at St. James Church Cemetery, in Frogmore, La., under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Schiele was born March14, 1942, in Ferriday, the son of Zinepher Hooper and Mary Elizabeth Schiele. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force with 20 years of service. He was also a Vietnam war veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Bobby and Benjamin McKeel.
Survivors include two children, Jessica Schiele and Jesse Le’Mar Schiele and wife, Jennifer, all of Cheyenne, Wyo.; one brother, Daniel McKeel Jr., of St. Francisville, La.; one sister, Verna McKeel of Sacramento, Calif.; four grandchildren; three stepchildren, Dwayne Schiele of Aurora, Colo., Bridgett Gallmon and Nickole Bowman, both of Tampa, Fla.; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
