Oak Forest silences Trinity bats, Saints lose

FERRIDAY — A single by Trinity Episcopal’s Quinton Logan was the only hit the Saints could muster as they fell to Oak Forest Academy 13-0 Wednesday evening.

Starter Jesse Cable took the loss for Trinity, giving up seven runs, three earned, on three hits in four innings pitched. He also struck out seven, walked five and hit one batter.

Oak Forest only had six hits on the evening, but six errors by Trinity allowed the Yellow Jackets to tally 13 runs in five innings, forcing the game to end because of the 10-runs-after-five mercy rule.
