FERRIDAY — Services for Lionel Proby, 53, of Ferriday, who died Monday, March 26, 2009, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Concordia Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Proby was born Dec. 26, 1955, in St. Joseph, La., the son of Roosevelt and Willie Mae Moore Proby.
Survivors include one daughter, Cookie Proby Batiste of Vidalia, one son, Tellis White of Monroe, La.; 13 brothers; 10 sisters; his companion, Vera Ceasor of Ferriday; eight grandchildren, Cherry, Cheramine, Dwan and Laci Proby, Kelsee and Lexy Sontoyo, Saint and Angel White, all of Ferriday.
