MONTEREY — Services for Marion Frances Burley, 94, of Monterey, who died Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. today at Monterey Church of Christ with the Rev. Russell Crum and the Rev. Devon Huss officiating.
Burial will follow at Scott Cemetery, in Monterey, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Burley was born Aug. 23, 1914, in Monterey, the daughter of Theodore Henry Forman Jr. and Bertha Tooley Forman. She was a homemaker and a member of Monterey Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Edward Burley; two sons, Wesley Burley and Terry Burley; her parents; three great-granddaughters, Jennifer Porco, Kayla Hamilton and Farran Beard; one brother, T.H. Forman III; and two sisters, Margaret Magoun and Jewel White.
Survivors include four sons, Verlyn Burley and wife, Mary Grace, Theo Burley and wife, Mary Jo, Kenny Burley and Donnie Burley, all of Monterey; two daughters, Bonita Hamilton and husband, Bobby, and Evelyn Smith and husband, A.J., all of Monterey; one brother, Honeycutt Forman of Monterey; two daughters-in-law, Shellie Burley and JoAnn Burley, both of Monterey; 24 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Will Burley, Dooley Burley, Robert Hamilton, Randy Smith, Kevin Burley, David Burley, Kris Burley and Hugh McConnell.
