NATCHEZ — Services for Georgia Mae Thornburg, 69, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Mount Plain Outreach Ministry.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.

Mrs. Thornburg was born Feb. 20, 1943, in Natchez, the daughter of George and Mary B. Flowers. She was a member of the Usher Board and the Mother Board.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Lillie Mae Bates; and three brothers, George Flowers Jr., Eugene Flowers and Alonzo Flowers.

Survivors include a loving husband, Luther Thornburg; one son, Fredrick Wallace Jr.; three sisters, Josephine Bates, Beatrice Carter and husband, Julius, and Myrtis Gordon and husband, Don Sr.; two brothers, A.J. Flowers and wife, Donis, and Charles Flowers; one stepdaughter; two stepsons; one granddaughter; two grandsons; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
