Services for Robert Earl Reed, 59, of Fayette, who died Sunday, April 5, 2009, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fayette, will be at 2 p.m. today at Shiloh First Baptist Church on Pine Street in Fayette. Burial will follow in Hollywood Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.
Mr. Reed was born Jan. 31, 1950, in Natchez, the son of Charles Reed Jr. and Emma M. Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his mother; one brother, Charles Reed III; and one step-grandson, Anthony Brown.
Survivors include a loving and devoted wife Dorothy Brown Reed; his father; three step-daughters, Zaddie Whitaker, Mattie Brown and husband, Edward and Christine Queen and husband, Kenneth, all of Fayette; two step-sons, Hine Brown and wife, Patricia, and Samuel Brown and wife, Meldey, all of Natchez; two aunts, Cora Harris and Josie Mae Pree; two step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.
