FAYETTE — Services for Clarence Coleman Sr., 49, of Fayette, who died Tuesday, April 13, 2009, at Jefferson County Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hollywood Baptist Church with the Rev. Jesse Brown officiating.
Burial will follow at Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home in Fayette.
Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Coleman was born Aug. 31, 1959, in Adams County, the son of Eugene Coleman Jr. and Murphy Moore Coleman. He was employed as a general foreman and was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Eugene “Skeet” Coleman Jr.; and one sister, Nellie Graves.
Survivors include his wife, Julia M. Coleman; two daughters, Yolanda Smith and husband, Chartell, of Clinton and Shenicki Coleman and husband, Derrick, of Vicksburg; one son, Clarence Coleman Jr. of Harriston; three brothers, Elijah Coleman and wife, Audrey, of Maplewood, Minn., Joseph Coleman and wife, Inez, of Harriston and Kelvin Ray Coleman and wife, Leonna, of Morrow, Ga.; nine sisters, Arzelia Lutch of Lorman, Corrie Jean Sampson and husband, Alphonse, Earlean Stampley and husband, James, Geraldine Coleman and Marilyn C. Jackson, all of Fayette, Reta Lois Scott and Patricia Squire, both of Harriston, Joise Bell Geoghegan and husband, John C., of Chicago and Corine Starks of New Rochells, N.Y.; five uncles, Amos “Diddy” Scott and wife, Jimmie, and Andrew Scott, all of Harriston, A.C. Scott and wife, Elise, of Chicago, Charles E. Scott of Davenport, Ind., Sidney Coleman and wife, Rosie, of St. Paul, Minn.; three aunts, Mary Malone, Juanita Stewart and Lucille Scott, all of Harriston; one special granddaughter, Jayanna Marie Smith of Clinton; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
Honorary pallbearers will be family members.
