Natchez — Services for Hazel Maxine Deering, 74, who died Friday, May 1, 2009 at her daughter’s residence in Woodville will be at a later date under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
She was born Oct. 15, 1934 in Euphoria, Miss., the daughter of John O’Reilly Todd and Donna Velma Fountain Todd.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Dennis Lee Simpson; six sisters, Lillian Hollinger, Helen Credie, Geraldine Odom, Ernestine Golden, Beatrice Meredith and Louis Ann Todd and four brothers, James Todd, Tracy Todd, Johnny Todd and Bobby Todd.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Nettles and husband, Charles “Bo”, of Woodville and Misty Kellough ,of Beaverton, Ore.; one former son-in-law, Garry McGehee, of Natchez; four grandchildren, Kristy Hawthorn and husband, Matthew, Christopher McGehee, Shasta McDonald and James Cole Simpson; two great-grandchildren, Keeley McDonald and Rhet McDonald; two sisters, Shirley Golden, of Crowder, Miss., and Trudy Kilgore, of Manchester, Tenn.; and a special friend Vikki Rutter, of Natchez.
