NATCHEZ — Services for Azelia Hargrave Belton, 29, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Percy Turner officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Archie C. Curtis Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Belton was born Dec. 17, 1979, in Natchez, the daughter of James Ware and Lillie B. Hargrave. She attended Holy Family School, Natchez public schools, Copiah-Lincoln Community College and served as president of the PBL organization while at Copiah-Lincoln. She was a graduate of Mississippi Job Corps.
She was baptized in 1996 and joined Mount Sinai Baptist Church and attended Mount Nebo Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Celia Proby; grandfather, Willie Herrington Sr.; and one aunt, Rosalie Davis.
Survivors include her husband, Jason Belton; three daughters, Ernesha, Cutara and Tyaundria; her parents; four sisters, America Demby and husband, Melvin, Joan Hargrave, Jacqueline Owens and husband, Roosevelt, and Latasha Givens, all of Natchez; two brothers, John Hargrave and Jerry Williams, both of Natchez; six aunts, Josephine Woods and Delores Green, both of Natchez, Thelma Gray, Ruby Lee Ware, Debbie Ann Mims and husband, Jeffrey, and Laura Mae Johnson and husband, S.D., all of Fayette; three uncles, Jessie Ware of Natchez, Terry Ware of Fayette and Bernard Ware of Dallas; grandmother, Gertrude Ware of Fayette; two special friends, Shanadoe Chatman and Tyaundrea Batteaste; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be uncles and nephews.
