NATCHEZ — The City of Natchez has been selected as a top retirement destination by “Where to Retire” magazine.

The city is profiled in the upcoming March/April issue, which will be available nationwide Feb. 19.

Where to Retire Editor Mary Lu Abbott said Natchez possesses qualities important to today’s retirees.

“On the Mississippi River, Natchez offers a slice of living history with more than 500 antebellum homes,” Abbott said. “Drawn to the area by low taxes, mild winters and a heap of Southern hospitality, retirees keep busy with an abundance of volunteer opportunities and a full calendar of cultural offerings.”
