NATCHEZ — A father and his two sons have been arrested in a home invasion and beating of an 18-year-old Natchez man.
Reginald Williams, 19, John Williams Jr., 24, and John I. Williams Sr., 45, all of 517 Ratcliff Place, were charged with aggravated assault in connection with the incident. Williams Sr. was also charged with felony malicious mischief.
Adams County Sheriff Chuck Mayfield said the incident happened Tuesday afternoon in the 100 block of Graves Avenue.
“A black pickup pulled up there, and three individuals got out, and the victim’s mother told (the victim) to go in the house,” Mayfield said. “When he did, the three suspects — one of which had a gun and one had a baseball bat — ran after him. They ran around the back of the residence, kicked the door in, and once they were inside, one of the subjects hit the victim with a pistol and another with the baseball bat.”
The suspects then left the scene in the truck, Mayfield said.
The victim — an 18-year-old male — was taken with visible wounds to his head, arms and chest, to the emergency room at Natchez Community Hospital, where he was treated and released, Mayfield said.
The sheriff said the incident is believed to be related to a separate previous fight that happened between two female subjects at Natchez High School.
