CENTREVILLE — Services for Davis Haynes Jr., 65, of Centreville, who died Sunday, May 31, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Winans Chapel Christian Methodist Church in Centreville with the Rev. Willie R. Jones officiating.
Burial will follow at Petty Cemetery under the direction of Anderson Funeral Home in Gloster.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Haynes was born Dec. 16, 1943, in Centreville, the son of Davis Haynes Sr. and Mary Alice Haynes.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Angela Haynes Jones; and two brothers, Marvin and Clarence Haynes.
Survivors include two daughters, Rena Ruffin of Baton Rouge and Terrica Haynes of Centreville; three sons, Vincent Haynes and wife, Tracy, Cardell Haynes and wife, Sharon, and Davis Leo Haynes; one brother, Elvis Haynes; three sisters, Ora Jones and husband, Ed, all of Baton Rouge, Joyce Stafford of Baker, La., and Valliery Hunt of Centreville; 10 grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
