Allen Brownell Sr.

FERRIDAY — Services for Allen Wade Brownell Sr., 44, of Vidalia, who died Friday, June 5, 2009, in Vidalia, will be at 2 p.m. today at Pentecostals of the Miss-Lou with the Rev. Mary Jackson and the Rev. Gary Howington officiating.
Burial will follow at Shady Acres Cemetery under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the church.
Mr. Brownell was born June 17, 1964, in Winnsboro, La., the son of Clifton Leon Brownell Sr. and Minnie Lee Brownell. He was a lifelong resident of Concordia Parish. He was Pentecostal and employed as an oil field worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Jerry W. Brownell.
Survivors include two sons, Allen W. Brownell Jr. and Clifton James Brownell, both of Frogmore; one daughter, Kristin Brownell of Vidalia; two brothers, Clifton Leon Brownell Jr. of Ridgecrest and Alfred Charles Brownell of Ferriday; eight sisters, Dianne Brown and Kathy Renee Baxter, both of Natchez, Barbara Ann Tucker and Sylvia Cowart, both of Vidalia, Mavis Pauline Brownell of Texas, Delores Ann Holland of Monterey, Mary Elizabeth Jackson of Fort Worth, Texas and Shelia Ann Christen of Harrisonburg; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Cindy Preacher.
