CLINTON, La. — Jake Darden led Centreville Academy with a game-high 22 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Tigers lost to the Silliman Institute Wildcats 47-43 Thursday night in MAIS District 6-AA action.
Centreville played solid basketball for three quarters and led Silliman 37-31 at the end of three quarters. Unfortunately, the Tigers were unable to close out the game because of turnovers and poor shooting.
Led by Riley Sones and Peyton Moody, the Wildcats snatched victory from the jaws of defeat by outscoring the Tigers 16-6 in the fourth quarter. Sones finished with 20 points and Moody added 12 points.
Centreville Academy (6-12, 2-6) hosts Trinity Episcopal Saturday afternoon.
