KINGSTON — Services for Mary F. Barnes, 63, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mark Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Stanton officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of R.D. Mackel and Sons.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.

Mrs. Barnes was born Nov. 7, 1945, in Natchez, the daughter of Ruben Speaks and Frances Holmes Speaks.

She was formerly employed with Piggly Wiggly and Arnold Nursing Facility. She was a Baptist.

Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Henry Barnes of Natchez; two sons, Roosevelt Jackson Jr. and Stanley Jackson, both of Natchez; one daughter, Taffany Jackson of Natchez; five grandchildren, Aaron Jackson, Dantashia McGuire, Nekaylia McGuire, Stanley Jackson Jr., all of Natchez and Armise Jackson Jr. of New Orleans; two stepchildren, Armise Jackson Sr. and Megan Jackson, both of New Orleans; three sisters, Rebecca Bradley, Henrietta Whitley and Clora McCellies, all of Jackson; four brothers, Alex Speaks, Elder Josh Whitley and Willie Lee Whitley, all of Natchez and Elder Curtis Riggs of Vidalia; two stepsisters, Andre Williams of Port Gibson and Lisa Barnes of Natchez; five stepbrothers, Ronnie Barnes of Jacksonville, Fla., James O’Neal, Henry Barnes Jr. and Aaron Hills, all of Natchez and Robert Banks of Lufkin, Texas.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
