Ridley sustains head injury in game versus Ravens

FOXBOROUGH, Mass — New England Patriots running back and Natchez native Stevan Ridley suffered a head injury after a hit by Baltimore Ravens safety Bernard Pollard during their game Sunday night in the AFC Championship.
Ridley was taken to the locker room, and the Patriots later announced he sustained a head injury and would not return to the game.
UPDATE, 9:02 p.m. — Stevan’s mother, Carolyn Ridley, said in a text message that Stevan texted her and told her he was OK.
According to various Twitter reports, Stevan was in the locker room after the Patriots’ 28-13 loss but was unavailable to the media due to his injury.
