NATCHEZ — Services for Nell Kaiser Zuccaro, 79, of Natchez, who died Monday, June 29, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Basilica with the Rev. George Pookkattu and the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Mrs. Zuccaro was born Dec. 23, 1929, in Natchez, the daughter of Charles Hayden Kaiser and Irma Fatheree Kaiser. She was vice president of Independent Oil and Coal Company.
Mrs. Zuccaro was a kind, loving, and devoted mother and grandmother. She was a devout Catholic. Nell enjoyed many years as a very active member of the Natchez Garden Club and various bridge clubs. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her former husband, Anthony “Bubber” Zuccaro; six children, Edward Zuccaro and wife, Suzanne, William “Bill” Zuccaro, Louise Finley and husband, Wayne, Charles Zuccaro, Paul Zuccaro and Alison Zuccaro, all of Natchez; five grandchildren, Jason Rushing of Natchez, Christopher Zuccaro and wife, Jamie, of Bowling Green, Ky., Amy Cox and husband, Ashley, of Canton, Richard Zuccaro of Hattiesburg and Sarah Zuccaro of Natchez; two great-grandchildren, Kolby and Will Cox, both of Canton; two brothers, Bubber Kaiser and wife, Mary Brown and Hayden Kaiser and wife, Barbara; a number of nieces and nephews; and three special friends, Korrie Manley, BreAnna and Cody Manley.
Pallbearers will be Jason Rushing, Christopher Zuccaro, Richard Zuccaro, Kerry Kaiser, Ashley Cox and Stanley Cooper.
Memorials may be made to Natchez Adams County Humane Society.
