MESA, Ariz. — Frederick Lee Whitam, Ph.D, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Natchez, died Friday, July 10, 2009, in Mesa.
Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. Cremated remains will be returned to Natchez for burial.
Dr. Whitam was a retired professor from Arizona State University.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pauline Hall Wilkinson and Clarence C. Whitam Sr.; and one brother, Clarence Whitam Jr., all of Natchez.
Survivors include one brother, Kenneth Whitam and wife, Linda, of Baton Rouge.
