NATCHEZ — The Adams County Sheriff’s Office has notified officials at the Bolivar Correctional Facility that an inmate there was allegedly making threatening phone calls to residents in Adams County from prison.
A news release from the ACSO states that the sheriff’s office received an anonymous letter stating that a residence in the LaGrange area had been receiving phone calls that could be construed as threatening from Cornelius Baldwin, 27, of Natchez.
The calls were apparently made from a cell phone smuggled into the correctional institute, the news release said.
Baldwin was sentenced to three years in prison for cruelty to animals after he pleaded guilty to dogfighting earlier this year.
