FERRIDAY — Services for Wayne McCoy Adair Sr., 74, of Monterey, formerly of Kingston, who died Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at his residence, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Comer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Collard officiating.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Woodville under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Adair was born Feb. 24, 1935, in Tupelo, the son of Orland Adair Sr. and Juanita Cagle Adair, both of Oxford. He was a retired truck driver with Missouri Pacific. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ethel Adair; one son, Wayne M. Adair Jr.; and one brother, Orland Adair Jr.
Survivors include three daughters, Tammy David and husband, Michael, of Port Allen, La., Karen Falcon and husband, Dwight, of Prarieville, La., and Dana Owens and husband, Donnie, of Monterey; one son, William Adair and wife, Patti, of Abita Springs, La.; three sisters, Mary Jackson, Faye Jenkins and Bobby McClendon; six grandchildren, Michael David Jr., Brandi Dimm, Brian Adair, Brittney Adair, Courtney Adair and Aaron Adair; and two great-grandchildren, Ariel Dimm and Jaiden Ralph.
Pallbearers will be Dwight Falcon, Donnie Owens, Clay Owens, Michael David Jr., Brian Adair and Aaron Adair.
