NATCHEZ — The Trinity Episcopal Day School boys’ basketball team was about as evenly matched with its Wednesday night opponent as two teams can be.
The Saints and Madison-Ridgeland Academy battled for four quarters and neither team was able to come out on top. They then fought through an overtime period, and again they finished tied.
It was not until the second overtime that Madison-Ridgeland managed to hit a couple more shots and defeat the Saints 66-60.
Dre McCoy led Trinity with 25 points in the contest, and Tanner Cage chipped in with 12.
The loss dropped Trinity to 10-4, and it will face Jackson Prep Saturday in the Jackson Academy Tournament.
