NATCHEZ — All of the paperwork has been finalized, and New Orleans Hotel Consultants officially owns Monmouth.

The hotel management company took over operations at Monmouth after United Mississippi Bank initiated foreclosure proceedings on the property in February 2012. Monmouth was owned by Ron and Lani Riches for approximately 35 years.

Warren Reuther, president of New Orleans Hotel Consultants, said the company had to go through bankruptcy court for the property and finalized the purchase Dec. 27.

New Orleans Hotel Consultants also currently owns the Natchez Grand Hotel and operates the Natchez Convention Center through a contract with the city.
