VIDALIA — Concordia Parish Narcotics officers recovered nine ounces of marijuana packaged for sale and a pistol Friday while investigating a complaint of illegal narcotics activity.
Concordia Parish Deputies Chris Groh, Dustin Lemoine, John Cowan, Austin Butler and Jimmy Watts were investigating the complaint on Rabb Road Friday evening.
The deputies made contact with Tommie Piercefield, 33, 310 Rabb Road, who proceeded to give deputies consent to search his property.
The deputies advised there was a strong odor that appeared to be marijuana coming from the residence, a CPSO spokesman said.
After searching Piercefield’s residence, deputies found approximately nine ounces of suspected marijuana packaged for sale, assorted drug paraphernalia and a .40-caliber pistol.
Piercefield was arrested and charged with manufacturing and distribution of schedule 1 controlled dangerous substance with intent, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal carrying of a weapon in possession of controlled dangerous substance and probation violation.
